Some Things are Not Worth Taking Personally

I believe all things are ideas in mind. In whatever form an idea is brought to my attention, I have a choice whether to take it personally or not.

Two nights ago, I woke up in the middle of the night with this stinking headache on the right side of my head. It felt like when I used to experience migraines without the other symptoms. I sent myself lots of love and went back to sleep expecting that by the time I wake up it will be gone. When I woke up the headache was still there, it had even got worse and every time I moved the right side of my head I was in absolute agony. I even felt queasy. There was only one thing to do, don't take it personally.

I got up, went to the bathroom and made my mother her breakfast. I said nothing to her about the headache. I then got ready and took my usual walk through the park to the bus stop. On the bus, I found a newspaper which I read. While I was doing all this, the headache idea was still present.

Later, I checked and responded to some emails, read some articles, watched a video and even used part of the dialogue on one of my articles. I was so engrossed in my writing that I forgot all about the headache. When I "checked in" the headache had melted away.

When I got home later and I told my mother about the migraine she couldn't believe it. I told her I had refused to take it personally. If I had I would have had to lie down, rest, try to work out the cause of the migraine, feel sorry for myself, and miss out on doing what I love. I can't be dealing with all that drama!

I woke up this morning with Justin Timberlake's song Sexy Back in mind which I happen to love. I hummed it to myself. I decided to look it up on YouTube and post the video on my blog. That was well worth it.

Some things are not worth taking personally; I just let them slide off me like water off a duck's back.

Song of the Day - 22

I woke up with this song in my head: "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake. I LOVE this song!

Here's the song with the actor Wentworth Miller. Oooh, he's sexy! That's what I call two for the price of one.

The Present Past and the Present Future

All time is in the present. Therefore, in every moment, depending on my focus, I'm either experiencing the present past or the present future.

One example of the present future is the current regeneration going on at the moment in preparation for the London Olympics in 2012. This means I'm enjoying all the benefits of the future in the present.

Here is one example of the present past.

On the bus this morning I noticed someone had dumped a copy of The Times newspaper on a seat so I grabbed it to read during the journey. It was then I realised the date of the newspaper - 2 July 2009. I knew the only reason why that newspaper was brought to my attention was because it had something I needed to see. Sure enough on page 5 was an article called Credit card companies face a ban on 'exploiting' debtors.

On 12 July, almost two weeks after that article was written, my brother came round to visit my mother. He discussed with my mother the way credit companies exploit people and keep one forever in debt. I can see that the Universe has brought this article to my attention to confirm that the matter is already in hand. I shall forward the article to my brother.

All answers already exist in the present past or in the present future. It's a matter of staying alert for them in the present.

What is a Prodigy?

People tend to regard people who are incredibly talented at a young age as prodigies.

What is a prodigy anyway?

In the sci-fi series "Star Trek," the crew sometimes encounter beings called the Q from the Q continuum. Because the Q are masters of telekinesis and teleportation, they can do anything they want. The Q find the human way of doing things rather tedious and laborious.

In one episode called Q2, Q's son, Q junior, wishes to spend time with Voyager so he could have an experience of what it's like living with humans. The boy being a Q simply teleports into Captain Janeway's quarters, which startles her. Then his father appears to formally introduce them. Here's what happens:

Q: I'm a little hurt you didn't recognise junior. You are his godmother, after all.

Janeway: The first time I saw him he was an infant.

Q junior: Four years ago in human time. You called me adorable.

Janeway: You remember?

Q junior: I may have looked like an infant but I was still a Q. [addressing his father] Maybe, you should have picked a better godparent. *
I believe Q junior is making a very important point. A Q doesn't stop being a Q just because he's a baby. A Q is always a Q regardless of how he appears.

In the same respect, just because I'm appearing as a human doesn't mean I stop being my True Self as Light. I am always the same in any reality, whether I'm appearing as human or another entity.

That kind of thinking is not acceptable in the human dream. We're all meant to know our place in society. Kids are expected to act like kids. When you get to a certain age, you're expected to rebel. I'm sure there are lot of "kids” who are awake to their true identity that are now living in families whose parents and siblings are totally "clueless." Kids who don't conform to the human model of behaviour are either regarded as prodigies to be marvelled at and treated as gods; or sent to psychologists to be given appropriate labels and treated like freaks of nature.

Those who have lived with full awareness of their true identity have been idealised to such an extent that religions have been built around them. They are regarded as models we should all look up to and try to emulate. Some even treat these individuals as saviours.

I believe we are all prodigies. It's just that there are prodigies who are aware of who they are, and there are prodigies who are in deep slumber.

I've always known who I am.
